Retired landscape architect and urban designer. Focus of work was planning for portions of cities to help them improve the quality of life for residents and visitors. Also did planning for counties particularly related to open land preservation and growth management. Worked extensively for the National Park Service and other federal organizations to help plan and conceptually design areas with extensive visitor use (urban portions of the parks). Examples of parks I worked for include Grand Canyon NP, Yellowstone NP, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island plus many other places where plans and designs were needed due to high use.
