Arpita Choudhury, PhD

I am a freelance illustrator with a focus on science and science communication. As a trained biologist I tend to veer towards issues and concepts from the natural world. I am interested in using the visual arts as a mechanism for educating the viewer. I welcome commissions and collaborations that are in line with my interests (in the world of science and beyond). My primary media is watercolor and pen and ink but I use other tools such as acrylic and paper. I would like my work to evolve from two dimensional to three at some point in the future. I am also interested in delving to the fabric arts as well as printmaking.
