I make things. I think I always have. Even as a child I remember expressing myself by creating things. Carving, collage drawing and making toys and things. Today I make sculpture. I taught myself photography and digital painting. I have also built furniture and have found a passion for sculpture. Currently I am working in what I see as two distinct styles. The first style is a three dimensional interpretation of my two dimensional drawings. Developing the work from the drawing is instinctive almost automatic. The second style I'm pursuing is much more organic. It has evolved out of deep appreciation for the work of Jean (Hans) Arp. I did a few pieces with Arp's work in mind and have now evolved a style that is distinctly my own. I think there is a little animus perceived in these pieces that people respond to
