I am a retired Environmental Engineer who learned to paint from my mother, an accomplished artist, when she moved to Colorado in 1990. Since then I have taken additional instruction and now paint the beautiful places I visit as well as everyday life around me. i paint in oil and pastel, in plein air and studio. More recently I became the curator of the climate change art show titled "Our Planet". "Our Planet" has exhibited at the Curtis Arts Center in Greenwood Village, Koelbel Library in Centennial, NCAR in Boulder, Museum of Art in Ft Colllins and Anderson Ranch in Snowmass. In my experience Climate Change Art uses beautiful and dramatic images and art forms to educate and motivate by connecting the visual with the visceral. It’s about a greater understanding of cause and effect through the depiction of lives, objects, events and places that we can relate to. "Our Planet" is a show created by 16 accomplished Colorado artists to use the beauty and power of human expression to deliver information, understanding and action.
