For me, the creation of images, their position within the picture frame, and their relative position to one another is the creation of possibilities. Whether we are creating art or we are viewing art, our imagination runs with the imagery. It attaches affect to the various elements of the work and attempts to integrate them into a sense of completeness. It is an act of psychic integration. We are attracted to the art that speaks to our psychic life. We look for our own reflection in a context of possibilities. Sometimes we find it, other times we don’t.
