Christine Jarvis

I am a mixed media recycle artist – I create one-of-a-kind mixed media paintings, paper collage and 3 dimensional works of art. My work is about bringing something into the world that enhances and elevates the environment in which it lives. I combine discarded items such as paper, fiber, paint and metal such as in “Renaissance Woman” and “Girl Robot”. I construct, destruct and reuse elements such as in “Sailing the Atlantic”. I tore apart old magazines to create the collage “Boulder, Colorado”. When viewed at a distance you can see Colorado mountains and trees. When viewed up close you notice tiny houses and people's faces. I am fascinated by the world of science. Thus I would showcase my 3 dimensional “DNA Strand” and “Andromeda's Worlds”. I am inspired by everything and everyone that crosses my journey through life and I hope to demonstrate that for you.
