About the Artist

Dave Kennedy has been described by those that know him well as a true "Renaissance Man". Moving his studio to Boulder in 2015 has allowed for renewed productivity with acrylics on canvas. Dave interprets imagery captured in mind or in a photo during years of travel. His OPEN ROAD collection includes acrylic paintings on canvas utilizing snapshots taken while on long road cycling adventures throughout the Western USA and Europe. Dave's background in architecture is evident in his affection for straight lines and detail. Prior to focusing on studio art, Dave worked professionally as a commissioned muralist in Albuquerque, NM, the Vail Valley and Metro Denver. His mixed media work has been featured in The Good Housekeeping Magazine, the Albuquerque Journal and the NM Lifestyle Magazine. The New Mexico Holiday Show recognized Dave's work as "Best in Show" for three consecutive years. Dave now lives in Boulder with his wife Diana. He remains inspired by our beautiful state, its big skies and long horizons.
