Deborah Kelly

I am a Longmont-based artist, originally hailing from the northern suburbs of Chicago who had convinced myself I couldn't 'do" art due to a spatial learning disorder. An "accidental phone call" changed my trajectory when I was offered the opportunity to take Leslie Montana's soul-based art class. I was fearful based on childhood messaging but she shared these words of encouragement: "What you perceive as a limitation, is actually a gift." To my surprise, it turned out to be true. The first piece I created was also the first piece I ever sold; It was at the auction for Roycemore School, my alma mater, and the recipient was the head of school.
