My name is Jimmie White, and I am an American interdisciplinary artist working in ceramics, fresco, and installation. The nature of my practice is rooted in exploring how material culture shapes power, memory, and cultural myth. I draw on Greco-Roman forms, domestic symbols, and entropic processes to investigate the aesthetics of collapse and the legacy of empire. The scope of my work includes producing large-scale installations, ceramic vessels, fresco fragments, and mixed-media sculptures. These works are exhibited in galleries, academic settings, and community-based art spaces, where they serve as a platform for dialogue about history, identity, and cultural narratives. My practice is also engaged with teaching at the community level, where I share ceramic and sculptural techniques to make art accessible to diverse audiences. I hold an MFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and a BFA from the University of Colorado Boulder. My ongoing commitment is to sustain a professional art practice that is both critically engaged and community-centered.
