In 2022, the California Zephyr Amtrak train landed me in the Chicago apartment of two ceramicists. At 38, with no clay experience whatsoever, I came home, bought a $100 wheel off Amazon, and taught myself to throw. I work out of my unfinished basement in Longmont, Colorado. When not ceramicising, I can be found with my husband, David, adorning our pup Lucille with an unreasonable amount of attention, enjoying Colorado and Wyoming hikes, looking for bugs, or working for our little bassoon and oboe reed factory that we've built over the last fourteen years.
