Nancy Eastman

My art reflects my awareness as an observer and participant. I interpret local environments and materials for site specific work. I create two-dimensional works from observations and memory of the landscape. The land’s subtleties, in both near and distant views, reflect our past human presence. As an artist, I want to involve the viewer in the aesthetics of our common heritage and create a link between the community’s people, their landscape, agriculture and history in an abstract way.
