Robin Allegra

I am an abstract painter using primarily acrylics though often mixed media working in the Boulder/Denver area for over 20 years. I want my art to offer a purely sensual, visceral response that is primarily non-verbal. I want to convey depth and movement; a sense of aliveness in one moment among all the moments that simply continue in unending flow. I am interested in the continual refreshing cycle where new becomes old and old becomes new again. I love raw and rough edges, ruins, with evidence of life in harsh and unexpected spaces. I am particularly drawn to the effects of the mostly unintentional interactions between humans and their natural and urban environments. I find the mysterious evolving beauty of the effects of time, weather, and human imprints upon our daily landscapes fascinating. Commissions are welcome.
