After college, I took a turn into animation and moved to Los Angeles, where I spent seven years as an artist with Disney Television Animation. Working on shows like Elena of Avalor and Alice’s Wonderland Bakery , I thrived within a creative team. But as the world shifted with the pandemic, so did I. I began spending more time outdoors, exploring the American West with my sketchbook and camera in hand, alongside my girlfriend in our pickup camper. The sense of wonder I’d felt as a child returned, this time inspired by up-close sightings of bison, elk, pronghorn antelope, and bighorn sheep as we explored. Eventually, my travels led me to the foothills of northern Colorado, where I live close to the wildlife that inspires me.
