Bettina Reiser grew up in front of the Bavarian Alps, next to Franz Marc's Birthplace, among rural farms and forests, with King Ludwig's Castles in my backyard. She immigrated from Germany to the US in 1983. In 1992 Bettina graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Visual Arts and a drawing emphasis. Her love and connection to Nature and it's Life within, is reflected in her intricate, detailed, patterned drawings and mixed media pieces. Bettina's translation and storytelling portrayal of Nature/Life engages the viewer to experience it from Bettina's point of view. She uses symbolism, lines, patterns, and her imagination to tell her stories in an illustrative style of her own. After a few serious life changes and experiences, Bettina acquired a Certification to teach the Zentangle method (2015) and a Therapeutic Art Life Coaching Certification (2021). She has been participating in various local Art Walks, Arts Picnics, as well as several Art Shows. She is a member with the Longmont Artist Guild, the Boulder Art Association, the Firehouse Art Center, and participates with the Left Hand Artists Group. Bettina is also teaching Art classes, ranging from Drawing, Painting, Zentangle, Fiber Arts, to Calligraphy on the Front Range of Colorado.
