Ryan Wiese

My orb series is a move to more minimalist work. My vision is to create paintings that are simple, yet captivating. I've enjoyed exploring this minimalist space. The clean lines and vibrant colors work together to create images that spring forward. The works in this series stand alone and also generate a playful exchange when grouped together. I sketch often with pencil and ink and have created thousands of studies of composition ideas for new paintings. I also experiment and develop new color studies often, working towards combinations that stir me. Once I land on what I feel to be a strong composition, I'll combine that with my most exciting color studies and create a new painting. My biggest hope for anyone experiencing my work is for their imagination & creativity to be sparked.
